Boone County Harvest Fest 2012
Belvidere, IL
Saturday, October 13th

Details and Forms

Thank you for your interest in the Boone County Harvest Fest!

We are asking for submissions in the following areas...

Vendors:
We are still accepting applications for vendors. The vendor agreement is available for download here. Spaces are available for a fee of $50, are available 12'x12' and need to be equipped by the vendor to shelter your items in case of inclement weather. Our event is rain or shine! If power is required for your space to operate, please indicate so in your entry submission. Power is available but limited to first-come-first-served on entries.

IMPORTANT: Spaces will be assigned before the day of the event, so vendors must check in at the vendor check-in booth to get their space number and instructions on setup and breakdown for the day of the event. Vehicles will have access to the vendor areas before the event opens, but once the event opens vehicles must be moved to the assigned parking areas nearby.

Scarecrow Contest open to the public:
Entries in this category are free to all individuals, families, clubs or businesses who wish to enter the contest. Entries will be judged in one of two categories, mechanical and non-mechanical. Any theme may be used, but the Committee reserves the right to remove any entries not deemed tasteful or appropriate as per the terms of the Scarecrow Contest Rules. If power is needed for a mechanical entry, please indicate that on your entry form (you may alternately supply battery-operated power to your mechanical entry).
Entries will be assigned an Identification Number and provided a badge to display on your entry. All Scarecrow Contest entrants must register at the Scarecrow Registration table the morning of the event. Any scarecrow displays that have not been registered and are not displaying their Identification Badge will not be judged for the contest.
Judging will be based upon creativity, materials used, and solid construction (they must be able to stand up to some weather, being scarecrows, after all!). There will be three winners and a "People's Choice Award" announced at the Baltic Mill Stage. The entry form and rules are available here.

Traveling Trophy Scarecrow Contest:
The entry form for this category is available here, and can be submitted, along with the entry fee of $25 for a 4'x4' display area. If a larger area is required, there is an 8'x8' space available for an additional $10 fee. Please contact the Park District offices as soon as possible, so that we can promote your entry on our Facebook page and Twitter, so that others in the community will know where to go and vote for your entry!
The annual winner of the Boone County Harvest Fest Traveling Trophy is based solely upon dollars raised for the path.  The Traveling Trophy may be displayed at the place of business, club or organization who wins until the next years festival.
Entries in this category will be not be judged.
