Thank you for your interest in the Boone County HarvestFest!
We are asking for submissions in the following areas...
Scarecrow Contest open to the public:
Entries in this category are free to all individuals, families, clubs or businesses who wish to enter the contest. Entries will be judged together, with three place winners. There will also be a People's Choice Award the day of the event, voted on by the public. Submissions in this category may be mechanical and non-mechanical, but if you require outside power, please indicate this on your entry form. Electrical power will be supplied on a first-come first-served basis, and you must supply your own extension cord.
Any theme may be used, but the Committee reserves the right to remove any entries not deemed tasteful or appropriate as per the terms of the Scarecrow Contest Rules. Entries will be assigned an Identification Number and provided a badge to display on your entry. All Scarecrow Contest entrants must register at the Scarecrow Registration table the morning of the event. Any scarecrow displays that have not been registered and are not displaying their Identification Badge will not be judged for the contest.
Judging will be based upon creativity, materials used, and solid construction (they must be able to stand up to some weather, being scarecrows, after all!). Winners of all four prizes in this category, First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and People's Choice, will be announced at the Baltic Mill Stage. The entry form is available here, please complete and submit to the location indicated on the form.
